Imbolc: Signs of New Life

Wishing you all a joyous Imbolc.
This is a cross-quarter, seasonal holiday that falls on the midway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, which was celebrated by ancient Celts. It signals the stirring of new life under the blanket of winter and reminds us that the fires of creativity are waking up within us, even if they may not be visible yet!

I must have some ancient Celtic blood in my, for this is a meaningful holiday for me. I relish the time of hibernation during the dark winter months and even though Winter Solstice signals the return of the light, it isn't until Imbolc that I begin to really feel it. 

Now the creative juices that have been brewing and bubbling during the darkest months of the year begin to show tiny signs of life and growth and stirring. The brave and tender shoots of my inner expression strive to reach the light, which is represented in this painting called "Waking Heart". 

May the inner creative fires stir and ignite within you and begin to bring forth your deepest calling.
