The Prodigal Daughter

3 years ago on the 4th of July I cut off all of my hair and proclaimed my independence from the limiting beliefs of my past, my family and my culture. Now, 3 years later, after walking through many dark and lonely nights of the Soul I am given this image to paint. As I look at her I realize that she is the prodigal daughter who has arisen once again from the fiery flame of her life like the phoenix. But this time she is ready to recant her human independence and surrender into the truth that She is One with All Beings.


With forgiveness comes peace and gratitude flows forth through an open heart. May we all hear the call to return home into the Union of wholeness....from whence we came.
